1970 Chuck Wagon Commercial – Remember this one? I used to run to the TV as a kid to see this… I remember thinking this was really a minature chuck wagon with horses, and I wanted one of my own real bad.

Was my mouth the only one for some reason watering watching this commercial?
Tempting as ever for who???
Does the dog look like Benji to anyone else?
@marcisneros im the same way! i didnt know what it was reffering until i watched This is Spinal Tap and at the beginning the guy makes a refference to this commercial and now i get the family guy ref
do you think that dogs really noticed that their dry food had “gravy” in it??
OMG this is in family guy o_o
Damn! That dog food looks better than what I had for lunch today.
@ysbaddaden2003
My dog gets Iams lamb & rice dry kibble. He hates the stuff, therefore he’s stayed slim and trim all his fifteen years.
Who cares if the frickin’ dog likes the glop? I can’t believe we have a pooch obesity problem.
I’m just waiting for a real-life version of Futurama’s “Bachelor Chow” to come out.
@KW1689
Actually, I dimly recollect that little toy chuckwagons DID exist at the time.
My dog wouldn’t eat the stuff…
I think that was the ad that made Ronald Reagan president.
@equallywrong
Your dog made it to the yard? You are fortunate.
It’s made of people, ahhhhhh!! Chunks of soylent brown. Caution: May cause halucinogenic behavior in scruffy looking dogs.
Mmmmm, rich meat broth and golden chunks!
@MrGrevy I’d hate to think about that poor dog being taunted for eternity, by the disappearing Chuck Wagon.
I remember this commercial too & always thought the Wagon would make a neat toy also….Oh well, Such is life.
@enigma413 red chunks of other dogs idk
Ha! that wagon never had a chance in my house, my three dogs Nocked that thing over and broke it! i can home to the mess, broken wagon parts and spilled dog food. as for the man and those horses, no word yet on them…..
Mmm. Beefy gravy.
i always cheered for the dog to catch the chuck wagon LOL
did u see that, he went throught the wall!
I remember this. I always felt sorry for the dog never being able to catch that
wagon with the tiny creepy looking people in it.
@enigma413 idk meat
ah now i get that family guy joke!
@Cyberweasel89 Nope, there are far older references than this. I am over twice your age, and I did not get the TV reference to “Surfside 6″….
